Ordering, Refunds and Returns
Online and phone orders
You can order either online, by email or over the phone on +33 (0)5 40 24 90 99.
When you place an order, we will require your name, e-mail address and payment details. A contact telephone number is also required so that we may reach you if there is a problem with your order. An email confirmation will be sent to you once we receive and process your order and will advise you of the delivery timescale for your order. If there are any problems with your order, you will be contacted by one of our team either by email or by phone.
If, for any reason, we are unable to fulfill your order we will notify you as soon as possible, giving you the option to cancel your order or to accept a replacement of at least equal quality and value. Where it is not possible to replace the products, all sums already paid by you will be refunded within 14 days.
Full payment for your order with Bordeauxwine.fr. must be received before the goods are dispatched unless by prior written agreement from us.
Returns and Cancellation
We cannot accept cancellation of an order once you have received an order confirmation us. Refunds are at the sole discretion of Bordeauxwine.fr.
Damaged goods and Breakages
All our wines and accessories are inspected before being dispatched to our customer and the customers must unpack all items and check them before signing the delivery couriers paperwork. By signing the delivery note, you are agreeing that your order has been delivered in good condition and that the order is correct. Failure to note damage to items on the couriers delivery note will nullify the customers rights to a replacement or refund. Simply marking the couriers paperwork with for example “unchecked” is not sufficient proof that the goods arrived damaged and will not be accepted. Any anomalies or damage must be noted on the couriers paperwork.
In the unfortunate event that you find that an item has been damaged or broken, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or at email@example.com within 24 hours of delivery to notify us that there is a problem and we can organise for a replacement item to be dispatched. If we are unable to replace a damaged or faulty item, then you will be entitled to a full refund for that item. All claims made more than 24 hours after delivery cannot be accepted.
Condition of wines
We take the provenance of all the wines we list very seriously and we only source direct from the chateau or from the relevant wine co-operative. As a result problems with the condition of wines rarely occur. By placing an order with Bordeauxwine.fr customers accept that they are sold in the condition that is expected of them according to their age, vintage and general condition. Photographs of the wines can be requested prior to purchase. Should a wine be delivered in a ‘corked’ condition we will endeavour to provide an amicable solution with the supplier. In the case of our own chateau wine we will replace the product free of charge once the items have been returned to us or once a photograph has been provided that clearly shows the product to be sub-standard.
We cannot guarantee that any wine will be to your taste. We will make every effort to match your needs to our wines, but this does not constitute any form of warranty.
