Marojallia – 2014

49.75

Official Tasting Notes:
The 2014 Marojallia is ripe, flashy and voluptuous, just as it was from barrel. Juicy red cherry and plum fruit, kirsch, espresso, spice and new French oak all meld together in an opulent, flamboyant wine that offers considerable immediacy and pure pleasure. The 2014 appears to have shut down a bit post-bottling, but it has plenty of richness and intensity. Readers should expect an unctuous, viscous, full-throttle Margaux.

John’s View:
Not sure I can add much to Antonio’s remarks. What I have found is that having now tasted this twice and having tasted some older Marjollia this stuff just gets better and better which is why older vintages sell for well over £100. As I say below this will keep drinking well for anoth 25 years, probably longer as long as you do not store it in that wine rack next to the radiator….

Drink by 2045 – but lovely already
