Stunning Chablis with all the minerality and citrus freshness you would expect but with an added layer of peach that gives a depth and a richness that can be lacking in lesser Chablis. The vineyard, Regnard, are one of the few who have resisted using oak barrels to enrich their wines so what you get is a deeply flavoured yet natural wine which is refreshing and clean yet robust enough to be much more than a simple aperitif wine. 100% Chardonnay, hand-picked then aged in stainless steel vats for 12 months before bottling.
Drinking perfectly now but will age for another 5 years. Ideal with fish (sublime with crab!) or white meats but big enough to handle pates and soft cheeses like Brie or Camembert. Best served chilled but not frozen so don’t leave it in the fridge for more than half an hour.
