Harvest done – the waiting game begins

So the grapes are in, fermentation is well under way and now we wait to see just how lovely it will be. So how good will the 2020 vintage be?

Obviously it is too early to say but the summer was long and hot, we had some lovely rain the week before harvest and unlike some of our neighbours we avoided the frost, hail and mildew. From what we can tell at the moment the harvest will be smaller than 2019 but will have more intensity and deeper flavours.

We will be doing some barrel tasting early in the New Year and we will keep you posted on progress. In the meantime here are some photos.
